Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can clients request a specific service offered by AQS or do all services have to be requested? A: Any service may be requested alone or in combination with other services. Because of the nature of this service, and the need to consider background information for all services offered, it is more cost effective to bundle planning and data services together.

Q: When should clients reach out to AQS for services they require? A: Clients should reach out as soon as they determine they have a need for services. This will allow AQS staff to participate in early meetings and begin to collect information needed for the services requested.

Q: Will AQS staff travel to attend meetings and offer clients support? A: Yes, AQS will travel to support clients. Travel costs will be billed to clients utilizing the client's company travel policy. For example, if clients require their staff to book refundable airline tickets and hotels, AQS staff will book refundable airline tickets and hotels, if travel is required. All travel costs will be billed to the client by the end of the month after the travel has been completed.

Q: Does AQS accept clients that require pay when paid subcontracts? A: For deliverables, pay when paid subcontracts are acceptable. However costs for participating in meetings (planning, scoping, deliverable updates, etc.) will be billed at the end of the month following the meeting. Payment for this will be required within 30 days of receipt of invoice.

Q: What is the turn around time for services requested by an AQS client? A: The turn around time of a specific service varies based on the service requested and the complexity of the deliverable. For smaller, less complex projects, 3 weeks may be sufficient to receive the required deliverable. However for large, complex projects 30 to 45 days may be required. Please note, the deliverable turn around time does not begin until AQS has access to ALL of the information required to complete the service. If the requested service will occur over an extended period of time (for example a large number of environmental samples collected over an extended period), we encourage our clients to allow us to work on data verification and/or validation as the laboratory data packages are provided by the laboratory, to minimize the turn around time.

Q: Does AQS offer expedited services? A: Yes, AQS does offer expedited services for an expedited service fee of 25% if deliverables are required 2 weeks after the service request. The expedited service fee is 50% if deliverables are required 1 week after the service request. Expedited service will be provided only when AQS can reliable provide the service within the requested timeframe.

Q: Will AQS submit deliverables on a client's behalf? A: In general, AQS does not submit deliverables on a client's behalf. This is to ensure that our clients have the opportunity to complete a quality review before the deliverable is submitted to their client. AQS may consider offering established clients deliverable submission, if the deliverables are standardized and have previously been submitted and approved by their client,

Q: Does AQS offer any additional services? A: At this time, AQS does not offer any additional services. However, if AQS can provide established clients with additional project support services, they will be considered based on the relationship that has been established with that particular client. Over time, AQS intends to offer more support services to clients as the additional support needs are identified, which can be provided.
